Alex Zaharakis and I are two parents before we are anything else.
Before the formulations, before the company, before any of the science that now fills our days, we were simply two fathers sitting with a question that no parent should have to ask alone: why is my child suffering, and what am I willing to do about it? For me, that question has a name — my son Philip. His autism is the reason I stopped accepting "there's nothing more we can do" as an answer, and the reason I have spent years learning to see the body not as a collection of separate problems but as one interconnected system crying out to be understood.
Alex and I found each other the way parents like us tend to — worn down by dead ends, but unwilling to stop searching. What began as two people comparing notes slowly became a partnership built on a shared refusal to give up. We connected the dots that others had left scattered. We asked why the gut, the mitochondria, the neurotransmitters, and the immune system were so often speaking the same troubled language in the children we loved. And where we found answers, we felt an obligation to turn them into something real — something other families could actually hold in their hands.
That is how Researched Elements was born. Not in a boardroom, but in the lived experience of raising children who needed more than the standard playbook could offer. Every formulation we create is the product of that shared determination: to address dysbiosis, metabolic dysfunction, neurotransmitter imbalance, histamine reactivity, oxalate and ammonia overload, and the many other tangled threads of dysfunction that run through autism, chronic illness, and complex special needs. We hold ourselves to a single uncompromising standard — the safest, cleanest, most thoughtfully complete products we would give to our own children, because in many cases, we do.
But we have never seen Researched Elements as the destination. It is the vehicle. Our deeper mission is to take whatever success this company earns and pour it back into the search — into research, into ideas, into solutions that can help the special needs community and the chronically sick reclaim their health and their lives. Every product we sell is, in a real sense, a step toward the next breakthrough for a child who is still waiting for one.
